Four Decades Of Craft In Plaster

Old Art Studio offers custom ornamental plaster work, including ceilings, walls, panels, bas-relief, medallions and mouldings, to architects, designers, decorators and homeowners who demand plaster ornament of the highest quality.

Every piece is created from only the finest traditional materials, for interior and exterior projects alike. The studio also undertakes restoration and conservation of ornamental and sculptural works.

The Studio's Mission

Our products represent one of the most notable collections of historic 17th to 19th century plaster elements available anywhere — ornamental works created from historical blueprints and old sketches, cast in plaster and other fine materials to fit each room.

Working in both plaster and precast stone with traditional moulding and casting techniques, the studio has restored and designed new creations for exclusive residences and historic buildings throughout Ukraine, Germany and the United States, in the Old World tradition.

The Studio’s Disciplines

Six ways the studio works in plaster, each modelled, cast and finished by hand.

01 Custom Ceilings & Domes Ornamental ceilings designed and modelled to the proportions of each room, from coffers to full domes. Enquire 02 Medallions & Rosettes Ceiling medallions cast from hand-carved originals, in period styles or to a custom design. Enquire 03 Mouldings & Cornices Run-in-place and cast mouldings, cornices and panel profiles for interiors and exteriors. Enquire 04 Bas-Relief & Sculpture Figurative and heraldic work modelled in clay, then cast in plaster: eagles, seals, emblems and portraiture.
